‘eBay Pioneered Social Networking!’ Those were the words on a screen in Atlanta at the 1st eBay On Location event which was held March 19th and 20th 2010 at the OMNI CNN Center. The display had a photograph from the Wild West days. I felt that eBay can be compared to the first settlers of social networking during the internet’s Wild West days!
The eBay platform launched in 1995 when social networking was not even a ‘buzz’ word like it is today. EBay had the beginnings while launching the world’s largest online marketplace.
