Feedback sometimes reflects the way people think and shop. One unkind word or negative statement can spread like wildfire across the land. As a seller on eBay I know firsthand how important it is to receive good feedback from buyers. The feedback system is very well known to eBay members. However the feedback system was not introduced to the world by eBay. Feedback has been taking place since the beginning of time! Locally we will have word of mouth feedback, where a client may recommend another client to do business with. A neighbor may recommend a hairdresser or a bank or mortgage company. ‘eBay Pioneered Social Networking!’ Those were the words on a screen in Atlanta at the 1st eBay On Location event which was held March 19th and 20th 2010 at the OMNI CNN Center. The display had a photograph from the Wild West days. I felt that eBay can be compared to the first settlers of social networking during the internet’s Wild West days!
